The benefits of having a coach/instructor is the avoidance of learning by trial and error and really getting
to your goal the hard way. If you repeat the mistakes of others, the journey is frustrating and misses your
desired destination. You may never get there and probably will have less fun on the way.
As golfers cannot see themselves swing the club without video analysis. You need a trained eye to evaluate
your performance. Make sure you choose the very best coach/instructor you can find for this evaluation
and guidance.
Usually we take lessons at two distinctly different times of the year. At the start of the Season and again later
in the season. A lesson in the spring will help you get back to the end of last season's proficiency sooner.
Hopefully, you will edge out your golfing buddies by a stroke or two at the start of the season.
However, you get the most 'improvement' from a lesson when you are at the very top of your game. In midseason
or the end of the season. To get out of your performance rut, you must accomplish this when you
are ready to step up to the next level.
Often the very simplest of hints or procedural changes create the momentum to move you up a notch.
Don't take bad advice. It's out there in abundance. Sharing quality time with a proven coach/instructor is
well worth the investment. This time should be inspiring, measurable, directly rewarding, entertaining and
enjoyable. Most of the time positive results will be immediate.
